Beautiful Amsterdam

Hello again. As you know, I didn't post last week as we were lucky enough to have a little trip to Amsterdam. Our first day was a total disaster, one of those days, that by the end of it, you just have to laugh as something else goes wrong, from tiny things like the pre-booked child seat not being in the taxi to slightly bigger issues, like the accommodation we had booked having mice, smelling like an Amsterdam coffee shop (and I don't mean of coffee!) and being slap bang in the middle of the red light district! Not ideal when you have kids! But it turned out well in the end, and I think it is fair to say we all had a lovely time! Our new apartment was in the Jordaan district, which is absolutely beautiful, and I developed a bit of an obsession with taking photos of the houses, especially if there was a bicycle parked out front! I have to say the rest of the family were very patient as I constantly stopped whilst we were exploring, but with scenery as pretty as this, it was impossible not to!
