Styling the Seasons - December

There is nothing like cutting it fine, but I have just about managed to get my Styling the Seasons post for December done in time!  (For those that are new to the blog, Styling the Seasons is a brilliant concept by Katy from Apartment Apothecary and Charlotte from Lotts and Lots, you can read all about it here.) I've noticed that my styling is getting simpler each month, I'm not sure if there is a direct correlation between the workings of my brain, or just an evolution of taste going on!  Obviously, I've hinted at the festive season with these gorgeous copper stars from Skandivis, but other than that I guess you could say, it is on the subtle side!

I love Christmas, even at my age, I still get excited on Christmas Eve, but over the years the reasons for my excitement have changed, it is no longer the promise of Father Christmas, but the opportunity to spend time with family; eating, playing silly games, and laughing together, that and the look on my girl's faces when they see what has been delivered by Santa.  Oh yes, and there is one more yearly tradition that I particularly enjoy, watching those that are crazy enough go for a swim in the freezing cold sea, take a dip on Christmas morning!

If you fancy finding out how I made the ivy and twig star, you can pop over to my tutorial on steller stories (boy do I love that app)!

I will be back on Wednesday with the final Gathered Style favourite before Christmas, until then I hope all your Christmas preparation is going well.
