Styling the Seasons - June

Once again, I have nearly missed the boat with my Styling the Seasons post, as the end of the month is nearly upon us.  So although it might be short and sweet, it is definitely beautiful!

I have to confess, I hadn't decided what I was going to do this month for Styling the Seasons, but fortunately the lovely Caroline from Wild Rubus saved the day!   She arrived today, flowers in hand (well in a bucket really) for our monthly tutorial, and I had no idea what we were going to be doing.  We always decide in advance, but this month, I changed my mind at the last minute, but Caroline gallantly told me not to worry, she would come up with something else, and not surprisingly, she outdid herself as always, by coming up with something breathtakingly pretty instead.  Which also just happens to decorate a surface in my home perfectly!  On Monday, I will share how we put the display together, but for now, I will just leave you with the photos of my beautifully decorated mantlepiece!

As always I nearly forgot to share what June means to me, well as I said back in May, this time of year is birthday season in our family, and today in fact, is a very important one in our household, that of my husband, Greg.

I don't really talk about him much on the blog, mainly out of respect for his privacy.  But today, I just wanted to say a little thank you to him, for supporting what I do here.  He has always encouraged me to do what ever I choose, happily continuing to support me financially, so that I can firstly be a stay-at-home Mum, and now blog alongside that.  He never moans (well rarely!) that I have taken over his work space because the light is best in there, or that I spend most evenings working. the house usually looks like a florist, or even that I now buy things with no practical use other than they will look nice in photos!  Don't get me wrong, he's not perfect, I wouldn't want him to think that, but you know what, he looks after me pretty well!  Happy Birthday Greg, and thank you, because I couldn't do this without you.

Have a great weekend everyone.
