5ftinf Workshop

Yesterday, I spent a very lovely Mother's Day, at a 5ftinf Workshop, I wasn't intending to blog about it, but quite frankly, it was just too good not to mention! I'm sure you have all heard of the incredible @5ftinf, or as she is also known Philippa Stanton.  But just in case you've never come across Philippa's work, she is extremely well known on instagram for her table arrangements, and not only that she is an artist, actress, and as I learnt yesterday a singer to boot!

The workshop took place in Philippa's house, and the day was pretty perfect, full of inspiration, creativity, relaxed and with a home cooked lunch.  It was fascinating to watch Philippa in action and learn from her, especially as she creates her table vignettes from the perspective of an artist.  I don't want to give too much away and spoil it for anyone attending a future workshop, but by the end of the day, I felt inspired, and with a renewed energy for creativity with my own images, something I really wasn't anticipating.

Below are some of my photos from the day, with a lot more colour than you would expect from me!

The images above and below didn't involve flowers to start with, which was a great way to step out of my usual comfort zone.

And for a final flourish, a prop in the form of a citroen 2CV (my first car), and some sugar!

On top of that I got totally spoilt at home, with flowers, dinner waiting, and some edible perfume made from Parma Violets from my big girl!  All in all, a pretty good day.
