Sideline A/W15

Last year I introduced you to SIDELINE (you can read my previous post here), a brand new clothing brand founded by Ellen Brookes, which is already becoming known for it's focus on understated detail, in the form of carefully edited fabrics, beautiful stitching, quilting and embroidery. The post proved to be very popular, as did the items that I purchased from the first collection.  I treated myself to a couple of pieces, a pair of easy-to-wear trousers and a wardrobe must have as far as I'm concerned, a jumpsuit.  Every time I have worn either of them over the summer, they have received compliments.  But what I loved about both pieces, is their effortless nature, they both feel stylish and timeless, yet current at the same time.  I know that I will continue to wear them again and again.

Each piece is obviously designed and made with care and attention to detail, SIDELINE uses a small but long-established factory in Istanbul, a country known for it's production of beautifully made clothing.  The factory specialises in laundered and denim clothing, and is well respected for the quality of it's work, alongside it's creative approach to working with small labels.

Before I share a snippet of the new Autumn/Winter collection, I wanted to share Ellen's own words about her inspiration "I design for the women around me - like minded women who care about fashion and how they dress, who are effortlessly stylish and softly confident.  They're not interested in faddy, throwaway clothing, instead coveting unique pieces that show integrity and thoughtfulness in their design".   I think this sums up perfectly how I see SIDELINE and their designs, each piece feels special and considered, and I am definitely a big fan.

You can buy pieces of this A/W15 collection through SIDELINE's website, and also find a list of current stockists.

Before I go, I can't help but mention that I have been lucky enough to see the Spring/Summer 16 collection, and quite how I am going to restrain myself from buying every piece I'm not entirely sure!
